A SAVVY homeowner who showed off her patio transformation has hit back at trolls who have compared it to a "public car park."
Vicky set out to prove that you haven't got to fork out a small fortune to give your garden a total glow up.
Instead, she managed to do so on a budget – using just a coat of paint and a large roller.
In a clip shared to TikTok, Vicky (@vickygilchrist__) begins by showing off her dull and dirty yellow patio slabs before, which are in desperate need of some TLC.
"Nope not loving this," she says.
"It's OK but we can do better.

Vicky then simply applies a coat of slate grey paint to the slabs, giving it a whole new look entirely.

"Yep, that's better!" she quips.
The post has since gone viral and racked up a whopping 2.3 million views, but unfortunately, not everyone was in agreement with Vicky.

"That’s a mess," wrote one.
"Everything else is yellow and brown – the grey is so random."
A second agreed: "It’s really ugly now and doesn’t match anything."
Vicky hit back: "You’re right, the mismatched stained tiles matched everything much better."
A third penned: "Looks like a public car park.
Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Oh dear – now it looks like a warehouse floor, soooo aesthetically pleasing….not!"
Another penned: "It’s giving crushed velvet wallpaper."
And a further added: "Now the garden looks like the exercise yard at Wandsworth Prison…"
Vicky responded: "Haven’t been there personally but I’ll take take your word for it."
However elsewhere, others were far more complimentary and urged Vicky to ignore the haters.
