Money-saving mum defends huge stockpile of toys, food and toiletries after she was branded ‘disgusting’

A MUM has been forced to defend her huge stockpile after she was branded “disgusting.”

Holly Smith, who is behind the popular Facebook group Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK, shared a video of her stash on TikTok.

The clip showcased shelves upon shelves of cleaning and beauty products as well as long-life food and piles of kids toys and activity sets.

Captioning her video, Holly wrote, “Can’t wait to start my stockpile again.”

But Holly was quickly targeted by trolls who accused her of being “selfish” during the pandemic.

One wrote: “Absolutely disgusting! Stockpiling during a pandemic! People go without because you want to be greedy! #selfish”

Holly was quick to hit back at her critic, sharing a follow-up video to respond to the comment where she explained exactly what she does with her stockpile.

Speaking in the video, she said: “The video you left this comment on was filmed last year, I have been stockpiling for over seven years.

“I’d like to to show you what my stockpile looks like now.”

Filming the empty space she says: “This is the area where my stockpile was and you might be wondering where it’s all gone.

“All the toiletries you saw in this video such as bath bombs and shower gels went to a women's refuge.

“All the toys went to the Brompton hospital in London because they had a toy appeal and it was the least I could do because they saved my baby’s life last year.

“And all the food went to the Salvation Army to support families over Christmas

“I’m not making this video to say ‘look at me I donate to charity’ but I get so much hate on a daily basis when people see my stockpile.

“Will I stop stockpiling? No! Because I’m going to do it all over again.”

In other news, this woman has spent over £1,000 stockpiling, and is now flogging it for a profit.

And this shameless stockpiler had to bin most of her stash – and doesn't care that she's taking food away from the vulnerable.
