SHOPPERS are rushing to buy a £6 Superdrug perfume which smells "identical" to a £126 Chanel fragrance.

Superdrug's latest budget "dupe", the 50ml Artiscent Atelier Eau de Parfum Lily Amour, is said to smell exactly like Chanel Chance, saving shoppers £120.

The dupe is currently discounted in Superdrug's half-price sale, with a BOGOF deal also on offer.

Superdrug told the Daily Record that its Artiscent range is "created in Paris, home of prestige perfumery, where perfumers are given carte blanched to translate their vision into unique and exciting scents".

It described its Lily Amour dupe as smelling of transparent jasmine, water lily, mandarin zest and musky vanilla.

The chain's website has been flooded with five-star reviews of the dupe, with many customers comparing its scent to Chanel Chance.
