Abbie Quinnen, 24, put on a glamorous appearance as she posed alongside boyfriend AJ Pritchard, 26, at Darcey Bussell’s British Ballet Charity Gala. The dancer wore a long sleeve embellished dress with a high neck to ensure she could keep her compression vest concealed.

To complement her look, Abbie wore her hair in loose curls with natural-looking make-up and accessorised with a black clutch bag.

Meanwhile, AJ looked dapper in a black tuxedo as he beamed while posing next to his long-term flame.

Abbie spoke previously about the difficulty of finding stylish covered-up outfits, as her burns continue to heal following a horror accident in January.

She typed: “Definitely am finding it hard to find what to wear at the moment as I have to wear a compression vest 23 hours a day under my clothes and keep my scars out of the sun.

“I’m always panicking about what I’m going to wear before I leave the house,” she added.

However, it appears Abbie is learning to adapt to her new style, as she looked fabulous on the red carpet following a difficult few months since being left with burns on her face, arm and torso.

The 24-year-old ended up in hospital after filming how a glass bottle could be cut in half to be used as a vase.

The trick involved dipping a rope into a flammable chemical, wrapping it around the bottle and lighting a flame.

However, the glass exploded during the dangerous stunt and engulfed Abbie’s upper body in flames.

The freak accident was first revealed in March and a source divulged to The Sun that she had needed multiple skin grafts to treat her burns.

Opening up about Abbie’s injuries, AJ told the publication: “There are different areas, and there are different degrees of burn and she will have a small scar in certain areas.

“But, as with time, they will heal and other areas will heal.

“I think the most important thing was that the skin grafts worked.”

Abbie thanked her fans for all their support as she explained the extent of her injuries.

She wrote: “Whilst we were attempting to create a glass bottle into a vase following a YouTube tutorial, it went terribly wrong and it resulted in me incurring injuries and burns requiring continuous hospital treatment over the past seven weeks.

“I really need you all to be careful with what you’re doing and if you’re copying any YouTube videos. I will be OK, I love you all.”

She added: “I also want to say a massive thank you to the nurses and doctors and the Chelsea & Westminster burns unit for their incredible care and treatment.”

Abbie has also credited AJ with helping her recover, but did feel upset when he was going out to work on the Channel 4 soap opera, Hollyoaks.

She explained: “He was able to get on with his life whereas I was in bed struggling with the consequences.

“I wasn’t thinking straight, I know he was trying to be strong for me.

“Then I caught AJ crying once and he was trying to say ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry’. I was shocked because he’d obviously been keeping it in for weeks,” she added while speaking to Victoria Derbyshire on The Jeremy Vine show.
