Amanda Holden looks lovely in lilac shorts suit after Phillip Schofield swipe

Britain's Got Talent judge and Heart Breakfast co-host Amanda Holden was spotted leaving work in a summery lilac outfit on Tuesday.

Outside the radio station's London studio, the 54 year old flashed photographers a smile, dressed head-to-toe in the colour of Parma Violets.

This comes after Amanda took a cryptic swipe at This Morning's fallen star Phillip Schofield over on Instagram last weekend – uploading a blank black screen with just a flexing bicep emoji, seemingly celebrating the presenter's exit from the popular daytime TV show.

"I know what that's for" and "Schofield" read two of the comments on Amanda's cheeky post.

Phil, 61, who'd co-presented This Morning for 21 years in total, announced his immediate departure from the show on Saturday afternoon.

His statement read: "I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story," his statement began. "Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.

"I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love. So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future.

"I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning's amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month."

In the aftermath of this shock turn of events, a source informed The Sun that Phillip felt he'd been "shown zero respect" by ITV.

"He is devastated by how this has played out. He thinks the way he was forced to step down was so unjust and he feels completely broken by how this situation has been handled," they explained.

"This Morning was Phil's life and now he feels he has been knifed without proper consultation."

Meanwhile, in Kerry Katona's latest OK! column, the star called for Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford to be reinstated on This Morning.

"I think it's time to get new presenters," she exclusively wrote. "It's not even that I've got an issue with Phil these days – he apologised to me after pointing out that I was slurring my words on the show back in 2008 and we've got on ever since.

"It's more that when you're watching the show, you want to believe in their relationship, don't you? I used to love Eamonn and Ruth on the show – let's get them back!"
