Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing has been hit with a fine of nearly £200, as well as penalty points after authorities caught him using his mobile phone while riding his moped in central London.
The reality star was stopped by police while riding his Piaggio Vespa earlier this year on February 15, where he admitted to breaking the law by holding his phone with two hands while driving, according to a report by the Evening Standard.
Jamie, 34, was handed six penalty points and ordered to pay a £192 fine, £110 costs, and a £76 court fee, according to the publication.
PC Alexandra Day, who spotted Jamie breaking the law, said in a statement: “I noticed that the rider of this vehicle was using a hand-held mobile device whilst driving.
“The device was being held in both their hands to the front, in front of themselves.
“I stopped the vehicle and spoke with the rider. I confirmed they weren’t making emergency contact to the 999 service. I pointed out the offence where they admitted to using their phone.”

Jamie has spoken numerous times on his podcast Private Parts and NewlyWeds about his difficulties in passing his car driving theory test, however shared live on the radio in January that he had finally passed.
Jamie, who was filling in for Mollie King at the time on her BBC Radio One show with Matt Edmondson, confirmed his exact results live on air.
Sharing the exact scores, Matt revealed that Jamie received 43 out of a possible 50 on the quiz section, and 55 out of 70 on hazard perception.
Jamie co-hosts his NewlyWeds podcast with his wife and fellow Made In Chelsea star Sophie Habboo, however, Sophie has been noticeably absent from the podcast and her Instagram for a few weeks.
In a statement released on Monday evening, Sophie revealed that she had been taking time away as she has been suffering from “debilitating anxiety”.
In a lengthy statement, Sophie said she was "not feeling myself" and made the decision to "go away to recoup" and "get back to myself".
Sophie shared that she is “now back” and said: “I wanted to share this with you, because not only am I so grateful to have been able to go and get help, but I also am so grateful to have been able to get back to a place where I feel like me again.”
