Marc Anthony bought out an entire exhibition at Avant Gallery in Miami before the show even opened, Page Six has exclusively learned.
The 51-year-old singer paid a total of $150,000 for 12 works by French artist Florian Eymann after getting a sneak preview of the show, a source confirmed.
Eymann’s work is known for remixing and distorting iconic works of art by the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci and Caravaggio as well as modern masters like Francis Bacon and Gustav Klimt.
We hear Anthony was especially drawn to the pieces featuring distorted faces of subjects that resemble kings, queens, and politicians from the 18th century.
But the Grammy winner will have to wait before he can take his new art collection home as the show has yet to open.
Eymann will attend the opening of his show, “Interpretation,” at Avant Gallery’s Hudson Yards outpost on Thursday before traveling for a second exhibition at the gallery’s Miami location.
