Tom Morello Accidentally Tackled By Security At Rage Against The Machine Show In Toronto

Tom Morello was accidentally tackled by a security guard who was chasing down a stage invader during Rage Against the Machine‘s show in Toronto last Saturday, July 23. Luckily, the guitarist was unharmed and restarted the band’s show-closer, “Killing in the Name.”

In a video captured by a fan, Morello and the band were midway through their closing song when the guitarist was accidentally knocked over by a security guard sprinting toward an unruly fan who was on the stage.

Frontman Zack de la Rocha continued performing the song for a few moments before realizing the issue and paused the show. “Hold up, hold up, hold up,” the singer said.

As the lights went up, Morello was seen quickly standing up and indicating to the crowd that he wasn’t harmed during the incident.

“Whoever the f**k gets wise like that, don’t try that s**t again,” the frontman warned, as bassist Tim Commerford interrupted to ask what happened. De la Rocha continued, “Sorry, we’re cool, we love y’all, but don’t do that!”

Morello then signaled for the group to restart “Killing in the Name” from the top, and Rage finished off their 18-song set.
