Gogglebox’s Tom Malone Jr calls out troll for racist comment about girlfriend

Former Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr has slammed a cruel troll that said something racist about his girlfriend.

Tom, who quit the Channel 4 show last year, and his family have been fan favourites since 2014 when they first joined the popular series back in 2014.

Speaking about racism in the past, Tom has touched on the racist abuse he and his girlfriend Bryony have received.

But a new comment has sparked a fresh clap back after Tom took to his Instagram Stories.

Calling out the troll, Tom took a screenshot of the disgusting message and posted it onto his page, writing: "Another morning another racist troll. It's 2022."

After his rant on his Instagram Stories, he took it a step further by posting to his grid.

Posting three snaps, Tom penned: "They say there’s no such thing as a stupid question….

"The second slide proves that statement to be false…

"And the third slide is the answer."

Adding: " In 2022 you’d think we’d be past this nonsense."

The first snap was a loved-up snap of him and his girlfriend, the second snap was of a tweet that read "Do you support interracial marriage?" and the third snap was of him and his girlfriend grinning with their thumbs up, in response to the question.

Tom and Bryony have been together since 2020, with the pair even heading to a Black Lives Matter protest in Manchester for one of their first dates.

Last summer the couple spoke out about how their relationship had been fetishised.

Taking to social media Tom penned: "We've recently been told that our pictures have been posted on pages that fetishise interracial relationships and wanted to make it clear that we don't advocate for that. @bryonybriscoe."

And then in a short video Tom revealed that Instagram accounts had been posting snaps of the pair without their consent.

Speaking alongside his girlfriend he said: "We're in an interracial relationship. I'm white Irish."

Bryony then added: "And I'm half-caribbean.'

Tom then chimed back in and added: "To us that's a normal thing but It's been recently brought to our attention that there are a number of [Instagram] pages that are posting pictures of us.

"And they're just whole pages dedicated to black and mixed race women finding white boyfriends and husbands, like that's something to be aspired to.

"And it felt a little bit uncomfortable so we just wanted to address it on here."
