Gordon Ramsay pays emotional tribute to Tilly as David Beckham makes cheeky quip

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has marked his 55th birthday and his daughter Tilly's 20th birthday by sharing a series of adorable throwback snaps of themselves together online.

The culinary legend, who is often known for his foul mouthed rants took to Instagram to display his softer side while letting his fans know just how proud he is of the Strictly star.

Showcasing photos of Tilly in her younger days, Gordon had fans in awe as they wished them both a happy birthday.

Captioning the snaps, the father-of-five penned: "I can’t think of a better person to share my birthday with than this adorable gracious young lady @tillyramsay always putting others first before herself and you’ve grown up to become an amazing role model."

He added: "Happy Birthday darling can’t wait to see you very soon love you so much Dad."

Gordon's fans as well as celebrity pals were certainly loving the photos and rushed to the comment section to also share their appreciation.

Football legend David Beckham wrote: "Happy Birthday @tillyramsay & @gordongram I hope you are showing your dad some footwork. Sending lots of little be."

Alan Carr penned: "Awww! How sweet. Happy Birthday!"

Meanwhile Tilly responded: "Love you so much dad," followed by love heart emojis.

Strictly star Tilly also took a similar approach on her Instagram account and posted a rare throwback photo of herself and Gordon when she was a baby.

Sporty curly blonde hair, the 20-year-old could be seen sitting comfortably on her father's shoulders while wearing a bright pink jumper.

Alongside the image, she penned: "Happy birthday to the best dad ever!!

"You are the most supportive person and best role model I could ever ask for and you have helped me become who I am today."

She finished off by saying: "I couldn’t think of a better person to share this day with and I can’t wait until we can celebrate together, love you so so much."

The news comes after Tilly was faced with the prospect of going home on Sunday night's Strictly Come Dancing results show.

Tilly who has been riding high in the competition alongside her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin hit a bump in the road when she received the fewest public votes over the weekend.

However, when faced with Adam Peaty and Katya Jones in the dreaded dance off, the young star received three out of four votes from the judges.

Taking to Instagram after the results show, shared a video of herself and Nikita dancing and penned: "What an emotional rollercoaster.. WOW, even though I always knew this might happen, it’s definitely very hard to be in a dance-off!!

"I’m so grateful to still be here another week and to have the opportunity to learn another dance. I'm definitely not ready to go yet!!"

She also thanked the judges for saving her and wished Adam and Katya well.
