HODINKEE Reworks the Divers Sixty-Five With Oris

HODINKEE has once again collaborated with Swiss brand Oris, this time turning their mutual attention to the Divers Sixty-Five.

The aim of the project was to “reimagine what an ideal sport watch from the 1960s might look like,” something some might argue the Divers Sixty-Five already had covered.

The watch is the first Divers Sixty-Five model to use Oris’ in-house automatic Calibre 400 movement, which gives the watch a five-day power reserve and is shown off through a vast sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Further setting it apart is the 38mm stainless steel case, with the model more commonly housed in 36mm, 40mm and 42mm cases.

HODINKEE has opted for a heavily desaturated forest green dial with a matte finish and no date window, while the Oris lettering has been entirely redesigned in a blocky sans serif typeface inspired by the company’s 1960s branding. The dial is framed by a rotating countdown bezel.

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Caliber 400 Limited Edition for HODINKEE is a limited edition of 400 pieces available exclusively via the HODINKEE shop, priced $3,800 USD.
