Bar Keepers Friend cleanser: $8

The cleaner, which is made from mineral graphite, claims to ‘bond’ with the hotplate surface to ‘form a barrier that prevents rust corrosion, surface pitting and flaking’.

‘It may have taken a bit of effort, but seeing it look this good is so satisfying,’ she wrote in a Facebook group, along with ‘before’ and ‘after’ of her transformation.

In addition to her cleaning method, she also purchased a four-piece stainless steel stovetop ‘covers’ for $18.99 from eBay to keep her kitchen looking clean and maximise counter space.

Many were amazed with her stovetop transformation, with one saying: ‘What kind of witchcraft is this?’

Others pointed out her cooktop looked ‘brand new’ while others said it ‘looks amazing’.

Earlier this year, a mum-of-two revealed how she transformed her rust stained stove top in just minutes using a DIY three-ingredient solution.

Chantel Mia, from Melbourne, shared a TikTok video of herself demonstrating how she removed the stubborn burnt marks without spending hours of scrubbing.

Her cleaning method is very simple – and all you’ll need are bicarb soda, white vinegar and a dash of lemon juice.

She started by soaking the dirty stove top grates in a sink of water with dish soap.

Next, Chantel – who’s known for sharing household tips and tricks on social media – made a paste using just bicarb soda and water. She then applied a thick layer of paste around the burners, leaving it to sit for 30 minutes.

She used the same paste to gently clean around the stove top with a microfibre cloth as she removed the stains from around the burners.

In an empty bottle, she mixed white vinegar and a dash of lemon juice to use as a spray around the burners.

Using a sponge, the mother gently scrubbed each burner until it was sparkling clean.
