IWC has dropped two distinctive blue panda versions of its Portugieser Automatic and Portugieser Chronograph models.
Designed with one eye on legibility and the other on summer colors, the two stainless steel models join the Portugieser collection in unlimited runs. The blue also hints at the Portugieser’s original design brief, namely, a large stainless steel watch with marine chronometer accuracy.
The two-tone dials feature contrasting white polished lacquer finish against deep blue ‘azurage’ finish sub dials and both use blued appliqué Arabic numeral hour markers and matching blued leaf hands.
The 42.3mm Portugieser Automatic features 7 Day IWC’s 52010 calibre and is secured on a blue alligator strap, while the 41mm Chronograph is powered by the brand’s 69355 column wheel calibre with 46-hour power reserve and is presented on a blue rubber strap.
The Portugieser Automatic and Portugieser Chronograph are available now via IWC, priced $13,100 USD and $8,400 USD respectively.
Elsewhere in watches, Sotheby’s set to auction off Paul Newman-gifted Rolex watches.
