Kirsty Gallacher appears to have deleted an Instagram Story that showed her support for brother-in-law Russell Brand.

The TV star, who is Russell's wife Laura's sister, uploaded the post hours before the actor was accused of rape, sexual assault and abuse.

In the post, she shared a video of Russell where he denied all the allegations against him, along with a red love heart.

However, after claims of Russell allegedly raping, sexually assaulting and emotionally abusing four women, the post could no longer be viewed.

On Saturday afternoon (September 16) The Times published claims that Russell had allegedly raped, sexually assaulted and emotionally abused four women – which come from four alleged victims.

The alleged crimes are said to have taken place between 2006 and 2013.

On Friday evening (September 15), before the claims emerged, Russell shared a video on YouTube where he denied the allegations and claimed it was part of a "coordinated media attack" against him.

He said: "Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque, attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute."

Brand said that the claims related to a time when he was often in the newspapers.

“As I've written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous," he added in his video.

"During that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent. And I'm being transparent about it now as well.

"And to see that transparency metastasised into something criminal that I absolutely deny makes me question, is there another agenda at play?"

He continued: "I don't mind them using my books and my stand-up to talk about my promiscuous, consensual conduct in the past. What I seriously refute are these very, very serious criminal allegations.

“Also it's worth mentioning there are witnesses whose evidence directly contradicts the narratives these two mainstream outlets are trying to construct, apparently in what seems to me to be a co-ordinated attack.

"I don't want to get into this any further because of the serious nature of the allegations but I feel like I'm being attacked and plainly they are working very closely together."
