Customers with Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland have been unable to check their bank accounts this morning both online and via the dedicated apps. Issues look to have started at around 6.30am this morning, with fury across both Twitter and dedicated fault website Down Detector.
Users who try to log into Lloyds on the app are met with a red error message which reads: “Sorry we can’t show you some of the account information you’ve asked for right now. Please try later.”
All of the accounts – whether savings or current – then don’t show funds, just N/A.
When customers try and click on their accounts another error message reads: “Sorry we’re having technical problems. This might be fixed by trying to log in again now. If not, please try again later.”
Customers have reported the same message after closing the app and trying to log in again.
How long will Lloyds Bank be down? Why is it not working?
As yet there has been no information from Lloyds, Bank of Scotland or Halifax as to what the issue is, or how long it will take to resolve.

The problem seems to be affecting much of the UK, with customers venting frustration on Down Detector.
One customer named Kasoa said: “Can LLoyds bank let us know what is going on?”
Another commenter called Kg said: “All my accounts show empty, currents, credit and savings, sort this out Lloyd’s.
“Time to change banks I think this has been going on for days now.”
