See off 2020 this New Year with a bang thanks to these bargain booze deals

SEEING in the New Year will be very different this time around, with most of us celebrating at home.

I’ll be toasting the fact 2020 is finally behind us with some bargain booze deals.

Plus, it is a good idea to take advantage of these prices and buy an extra bottle for the month ahead.

POP THE CORK: If it’s fizz you’re after, Sainsbury’s has some great offers on its prosecco and champagne range until January 1. A 75cl bottle of Freixenet prosecco is £9, down from £12, plus a bottle of Sainsbury’s brut rose champagne 75cl is £19, down from £22. If you want to go all out, a bottle of Moët & Chandon Impérial brut non vintage champagne is £29, reduced from £37.

THINK PINK: Asda has a great deal on some of the nation’s favourite tipples until January 1. You can pick up two from a selected range for £20, including spirits, beer and cider. A 70cl bottle of Gordon’s pink gin is £13. You could pair this with Gordon’s white peach gin too, also £13 — saving a total of £6.

PAYS TO BE LOYAL: Tesco Clubcard members can get a bargain before January 2 if they are quick. You can buy a bottle of Glenmorangie original single malt whisky for £25, down from £36. That’s a saving of £11. Plus, why not celebrate with a bottle of Louis Delaunay champagne brut non vintage? Now £10, down from £14.

UNBEERLIEVABLE DEALS: Morrisons has top deals across its range of beer, with two selected crates for £16, including ten 440ml cans of Stella Artois, RRP £10.50, and 12 330ml bottles of Heineken, RRP £10, saving £4.50. Plus, a box of 12 Desperado bottles is £9.99, down from £12. The Glenfiddich 12- year-old single malt whisky is down £10 to £27.

Giselle's biggest bargain bag

WHEN the shops re-open, I will be heading to Primark for this £8 bag, which is very similar to one from the Bottega Veneta handbag range that would set you back more than £2,000.

That’s not a bad saving, is it?

Giselle's little helper

McDONALD’S has launched katsu curry chicken nuggets.

The limited- edition menu option will be around for six weeks, costing £3.59 for six. They come with a sweet curry dip.
