Mr Todiwala's Kitchen, the hotel's restaurant, has authentic Indian dishes with a modern twist.

Make sure you try the beetroot and coconut samosas and the moreish chilli-cheese naan.

We also enjoyed a healthy breakfast at the Food Store Restaurant, which offers more casual dining options throughout the day.

It’s also worth getting a nightcap at the Jack Speak Bar.

From their king-sized doubles to the larger “bargemaster” rooms, the Lincoln Plaza has seriously spacious rooms.

Care has been taken over the contemporary design and finishing touches, which included a selection of gin and tonic ingredients, fluffy robes and deluxe toiletries, plus a super-comfy king-size bed.

With the help of blackout curtains, I had the best night's sleep in ages.
