The most popular name of 1990 in England and Wales was Emma.

Meanwhile, the name Karen fell out of the Top 100 entirely following its rise in unpopularity after being used as a negative meme.
For boys, the top choice Muhammad stayed the same followed by Noah, Oliver, Arthur and Leo.
Some new entries made their way into the top 100 list, with Ellis, Albert, Mlio, Hudson, Jasper, Austin and Ayaan all making their debut.
Mrs Hinch’s son’s name Ronnie also featured in the top 100.
