Vince Staples Enlists Fousheé for "Take Me Home" on 'Fallon'

Vince Staples dropped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday evening to perform “Take Me Home” with R&B up-and-comer Fousheé.

Cast under a moody blue light, the duo sat back-to-back on a rotating circular stage that turned in tandem with each artist’s verses. Where Staples held down the track’s fast-paced bars, Fousheé claimed prominence during the melodic chorus, closing out the performance on one final note that was subsequently met with applause.

“Take Me Home” comes off Staples’s most recent self-titled fourth studio album, which he released in July. Earlier this month, the rapper dropped a Pokémon-inspired track, dubbed “Got ‘Em,” in celebration of the franchise’s 25th anniversary.

“I’ve always been a fan of Pokémon, so it was particularly special to be asked to take part in this 25th anniversary celebration,” Staples said in a statement when the track released. “I’m excited for people to hear ‘Got ‘Em,’ and hope the song resonates with fans, especially those who grew up with Pokémon like I did.”

Next year, Staples will take off with Tyler, the Creator on his North American Call Me If You Get Lost tour alongside Kali Uchis and Texas artist Teezo Touchdown. The tour will begin on February 10, 2022, at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego and end on April 8, 2022, at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, with a total of 34 stops. Tickets are available for purchase on the tour’s official website.
