This Morning's Alison Hammond was corrected by a guest in an awkward exchange during the latest edition of the ITV daytime show.
The former Big Brother contestant turned television presenter and co-host Dermot O'Leary welcomed Caroline Grills onto Friday's programme via a video link to discuss cats being given a curfew in Austrailia.
Introducing the segment, Alison said: "As Australia begins to ease its lockdowns for humans, another group who has had their movements restricted is cat.
"We're joined now by Bendigo counsellor Caroline Grills alongside Doctor Scott, we're gonna kick off with Caroline first.
"First of all, can you just tell us what the current lockdown situation is for cats in Bendigo?" she asked Caroline.
Caroline answered back: "Firstly, can I just correct you, sorry I'm not actually a counsellor, I'm actually one of the managers, so I'm responsible for the animal management team, so I just wanted to make that clear."
"So you're the big guns, babe," Alison replied. "You are the big guns, you're the manager, sorry about that, we'll get it right now!"
"That's ok, that's ok," Caroline then said as she laughed awkwardly, before the awkward silence between the pair.
Viewers at home rushed to their keyboards to discuss the television moment.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Oh get over yourself love #ThisMorning."
Another added: "Alright mate no one really cares what you do. #ThisMorning."
While a fourth social media user added: "This is a train wreck of an interview #ThisMorning."
Alison is reportedly set to co-host a quiz show on rival channel BBC next year with I'm A Celebrity star Vernon Kay.
A source told the Sun newspaper: “The BBCare filming a pilot for Friends Like These with Vernon and Alison in the New Year.
"Everyone involved in the reworking on the show is so excited to get started.
“They think they can make a real success of it."
Alison has carved a career for herself in the tough TV industry after appearing on reality show Big Brother nearly two decades ago.
Stints on Celebrity Coach Trip, I'm a Celebrity and Strictly have also been listed in her string of reality appearances.
