Chrissy Teigen gets new dog & reveals adorable name & rare breed just one week after announcing death of bulldog pup

CHRISSY Teigen got a new dog and revealed the pup’s adorable name and rare breed.

The 35-year-old welcomed the new pet into her home just one week after announcing the death of her bulldog pup.

On Tuesday, Chrissy took to Instagram to announce she and husband John Legend, 42, have added a new pet to their family.

She shared a photo of the new pup, as well as a selfie of the model posing with the dog, a snap John spending time with the pup while sitting in the grass and a video of the dog running inside of their house.

Chrissy revealed the couple named the dog Pearl in the caption, while she also shared that their other pets already love the new addition.

Alongside the photos and video, she wrote: “Pearl has touched down into the legend/teigen/stephens household! We love this little girl so much already but I will admit, she has definitely taken to John first!!

“Penny is obsessed with her so it’s been fun watching the adventures of penny and pearl unfold.

"I grew up with Basset Hounds so I can’t wait for John to see this bouncy, no-bones, jello mold of skin grow into the stubborn logs of love I love so much.”

The model concluded: “Excited for this new little heart to add love to our home. Swipe for ear magic!”

Earlier this month, Chrissy took to Instagram to reveal the couple's dog Pippa had passed away in her arms.

She shared the sad news in an emotional Instagram post, which showed the model cuddling up with Pippa.

Chrissy wrote in the caption: "Our beautiful little pippa just died in my arms, not long ago.

"She was 10, I remember picking her up in Gainesville and documenting our trip home.

"She was a sassy broad – loved her pearl necklace and never took s**t from ANY new dog we brought in."

The model continued: "Our road dog with Sade, a tour dog for years. we loved her so much.

"We love you sweet girl. I know you’re giving puddy hell up there. Thank you for giving us your whole life."

John also paid tribute to the beloved pet in an Instagram post, writing: "We’re going to miss our little Pippa.

"This pic is her living her best life: on the road with her dad, wearing pearls.

"We got her near Gainesville FL so I gave her my best impression of a southern accent whenever I spoke for her.

"She was smart, fancy and didn’t take any shit. She gave us so much joy for 10 years. We love you Pippa!"

Chrissy and John, 42, share several pets together.

In addition to Pippa, the couple also raised two birds, three other dogs, one bearded dragon and a hamster.
