Corrie fans baffled as Corey wakes from drugs in ‘seconds’ leaving Asha in peril

Coronation Street fans have been left confused after Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) woke up from the drugs he'd been spiked with after what seemed like just seconds.

Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), who is pretending to be back with him to try and prove his guilt over Seb's murder, drugged him after spiking a drink and pizza.

But as Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) waited patiently for some bit of news, Asha was left in danger as Corey woke up from his drug-induced slumber.

Corrie viewers were left confused though, as it felt like he'd been knocked out for a matter of seconds, meaning Asha was in major danger.

One person tweeted: "Blimey the drug Asha used was great to knock Corey out for all but 40 seconds."

Another said: "Jesus. Horlicks would've put Corey out for longer than that."

A third wrote: "What drugs knock you out for 45 seconds?"

Someone else went on: "Either she was on that phone for hours or he's some sort of superhuman."

And a fifth added: "So it knocked him out for just a few minutes. Oh FFS."

Corey had already been suspicious of Asha, but she tried her best to convince him that she really did want to get back with him.

But he wanted more than just a chilled night with a few drinks, and he pressured Asha into sleeping with him, which she pretended to agree to as she slipped him his drugged pizza and beer.

When he woke up though he had a menacing look on his face, suggesting Asha is in major danger.

Luckily, pal Nina (Mollie Gallagher) bumped into Abi, who told her about the drugging plan.

Nina immediately realised it was a bad idea and they rushed to try and reach Asha – just as Corey was waking up.

Will he kill another Coronation Street resident?

Or will the ladies manage to save Asha?

And will she manage to get the evidence she needs to prove he's guilty of killing Seb?
