Fans of the BBC soap will recall Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) was in a car accident with Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) who set her up. EastEnders villain Janine placed Linda in the driver’s seat with empty bottles of alcohol in the car behind her. As Linda stood up in court to face the consequences of her actions, she was told she could lost custody of baby Annie.

There’s nothing more important to the former Queen Vic landlady than her family.

Faced with the possibility of losing her newborn baby Annie, Linda has been left heartbroken.

Linda told the court she was ashamed of her behaviour and drink-driving, unaware she’d actually been set up.

She was issued with a driving ban for five years, a fine of £1000 and 200 hours of community service.

Linda has been supported by estranged husband Mick (Danny Dyer) much to the dismay of his new lover Janine.

Social services have since got involved thanks to Janine and insisted on taking baby Annie to the hospital for a check up.

Linda has insisted she’s to drinking and her daughter’s not in any danger but she’s been warned the tot could be put into care.

Fans are furious with the storyline and have taken to Twitter to share their anger over the future of Linda and Annie.

While Angela B shared: “My goodness I hope Janine gets what’s coming to her!!! #EastEnders.”

Michelle posted: “My heart is breaking for Linda right now she doesn’t deserve this. I hope karma comes for Janine and she loses everything #EastEnders.”

Viewers are so upset with the storyline, 193 complaints have been made to Ofcom over the storyline.

Fans of EastEnders are set for more heartache as Linda will declare her love for Mick in upcoming scenes.

But before they can reconcile, it’s revealed Janine is pregnant with Mick’s child.

Linda will confess to her best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) she is still in love with Mick.

Mick is dedicated to being a good father and as Annie is not his biological child, he may decide he has to stand by Janine instead.

Will Mick choose to stand by Janine or Linda?
