EastEnders serial killer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) threatens mother-in-law Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) next week as she confronts him over his new relationship with Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).
Chelsea has a new nickname for Gray's children, Mia and Mackenzie, and when Karen overhears she becomes increasingly worried about how she views her grandchildren.
Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) comes by to drop off Mia's birthday present and explains that things are still awkward with Gray.
Later, Gray and Whitney are in the same place expecting to see Karen when they realise they have been set up.
Gray encourages Whitney to see the kids anytime. In the evening Chelsea visits the laundrette and Karen has a plan.

Later in the week, Mitch and Karen help out at Mia's birthday party and they realise Gray forgot to send out any invites.
Chelsea skips Mia's party, making an excuse about why she can't attend the family event.
Feeling bad about the invites, Gray is touched when Whitney stops by.
Annoyed that Gray seems to be putting more effort into Chelsea than her grandchildren, Karen tells him how she feels and Gray struggles when confronted with the truth.

At Ruby's, Chelsea receives a drink from an admirer. As Dotty questions her relationship, Chelsea insists her relationship with Gray is casual.
The next day, a hungover Chelsea ignores Gray's messages. Sharon Watts realises she's having man troubles and advises her to end her relationship that she doesn't want to be in.
About the end things with Gray, he gives her his keys.
Will Chelsea finish her fling with Gray or will he manages to convince her to stick with him?
Gray pushed his wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) on to a knife and left her to die in dramatic scenes last year.
He was able to get away with it by framing his wife’s death as a tragic accident, with the rest of Albert Square unaware of what he had done.
As well as his wife, Chantelle, Gray has killed Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).
Tina recently made a brief return in the form of a flashback.
After Gray had an explosive argument with Chelsea, he then saw a terrifying image of Tina lying dead on his sofa.
