Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has appeared to tease a new storyline between Mandy Dingle and Jimmy King after they shared a kiss on Wednesday.

On Friday's episode, it saw Mandy, who is played by Lisa, 45, discuss her kiss with Jimmy (Nick Miles) after he decided to make his marriage work with Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) on Thursday.

Mandy appeared to let slip that she has "feelings" for Jimmy, she said: "Once the truth's out there, you can't take it back. And I am not in the business of being a marriage wrecker. No matter what my feelings might be…"

To which Jimmy asked: "You do have feelings for me then?"

With Mandy insisting: "I feel as guilty as sin and I cannot have this on my conscience! That kiss and you, it meant nothing, zilch, you got that?"

After the scenes aired, actress Lisa, who plays Mandy, took to Twitter to post a video of the exchange, which she captioned with: "Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh [embarrassed emojis] Mandy seems to have said to much………….but covered it very very well [winking emojis] @emmerdale @itv #whatsnext #question #emmerdale #itv #video."

Emmerdale fans were quick to react to the scene and Lisa's tweet as they shared their own thoughts on social media.

One person said: "Awesome as always Lisa, can't wait to see how this develops." followed by a heart emoji.

A different fan put: ""That kiss, you it meant nothing, zilch" Really Mandy? #Emmerdale," followed by a kiss emoji.

While another viewer added: "I think Mandy does have feelings for Jimmy? #Emmerdale."

It comes as soap watchers have predicted drama for Jimmy and Nicola after his kiss with Mandy.

On Thursday, Jimmy was found not guilty after awaiting to hear if he was facing prison after crashing his truck in the village which killed villain Paul Ashdale, played by actor Reece Dinsdale, earlier this year.

Yet instead of rushing to tell his estranged wife the good news, he headed straight to Mandy following their surprise kiss on Wednesday, who told him not to "throw away" what he has with Nicola.

Later on the soap, Jimmy failing to tell Nicola he was found not guilty at court was the final straw as she told him it "wasn't working" and that they can't continue to "stick plasters" on their relationship.

However, the two characters soon had a change in heart where they vowed to try and make their marriage work, with Jimmy saying: "You and me together, come on? There's not a force in the world that can stop that."

As soon as Jimmy reassured Nicola over a drink at The Woolpack, Mandy walked in as the two characters looked at each other awkwardly.

Soap fans were quick to predict drama and a potential love triangle for Jimmy and Nicola, especially if she discovers that he kissed Mandy.
