I’m A Celebrity…South Africa: Carol faces the Deadly Drop challenge
On Tuesday night, Shaun Ryder and Gillian McKeith come face to face and are set to have an intense first meeting.
After appearing out of the box, she announces: “I couldn’t let you do this without ‘Jungle Gill’. Hi! I’m back again! 12 years later on the, I’m A Celeb show.”
Speaking of her arrival, Shaun tells the Bush Telegraph: “Gillian came out of a box. I was very surprised. I probably could have done without it being Gillian, yeah.”
Gillian also tells the Bush Telegraph: “How do I feel about Shaun Ryder being here? I said hello, he said hello, it was all very cordial. What can I say?”
However, their “cordial” meeting wasn’t reciprocated by Shaun, as he opened up on her last experience with her.
Former royal butler Paul Burrell asks: “Is she as mad as a box of frogs?” to which Shaun replies: “Yeah… I nearly killed her.”
Back in the Bush Telegraph, Shaun adds: “I’ve been trying to be nice to her. I’m a different person, whatever. I don’t think Gillian was pleased to see me.”
Later in the episode, Gillian and Shaun are forced to work together during the chest challenge in order to bring back a treat for the camp.

Thinking about their rocky past, Gillian admits: “I have no idea how Shaun and I are going to get along.”
As they gear up to leave, former model Janice Dickinson quips: “That could be World War 3!”
Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan adds: “Hopefully they’ll bring back a treat… I think the camp would love that.”
Can they put their previous differences aside to work together this time around?
The pair were embroiled in blazing rows through the series in 2010, with Shaun branding her “f****** irritating”.
He later told presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly: “If Gillian was my wife, she would be in pieces in a plastic bag, deep in a hole in the back garden.”
During Gillian’s first time on the show, she was nominated to take a large amount of the trials but ended up fainting through a lot of them, which meant the camp was often going hungry.
She previously told Daily Mail: “I have a history of fainting since childhood. The day before we did the live trial, I hadn’t had much to eat and I wasn’t feeling very well – which is the precursor to passing out.”
