Strictly Come Dancing fans saw the 12 celebrities discover who they would be partnered with this year after months of anticipation. And one person who fans were more than well-acquainted with was Jamie Laing, who was meant to take part in the 2019 series. However, after an early injury saw him leave, judge Motsi Mabuse gave him his “final warning” ahead of the first group dance of the year – which is where he saw his time come to an end on the 2019 series.
Jamie was announced to be paired with Karen Hauer this evening after the BBC show allowed him a chance to return.
And when the pair joined each other in the studio, it wasn’t long before one of the judges reminded him of last year’s injury.
Motsi – sister of Oti Mabuse who Jamie was originally paired with last year – told the contestant: “I’m really, really glad you’re back!
“He’s got a beautiful personality and it shines through so I’m ready to see what’s going to happen with the dancing.”
However, she soon issued him a stark warning, saying: “But Jamie, this is your final warning! There is a group dance.
“Please do not repeat 2019, okay? Take care of yourself,” with Jamie seen holding his hands together as the camera panned back to him.
Motsi added: “I will want to see you and I’m so glad you’re back!”
Jamie is just one of the 12 contestants who will be fighting it out for the Glitterball Trophy.
