Legendary BBC star named greatest British TV presenter of all time | The Sun

SIR David Attenborough has been named the greatest British television presenter of all time.

The celebrated face of natural history, 96, won a resounding 28 per cent of the vote in a poll.

In second place came Sir Terry Wogan, whose BBC chat show ran for a decade from 1982.

Original Strictly host and all-round entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth scooped third place.

Asked what makes a great presenter, 47 per cent said they should come across as genuine.

Half of Brits said TV now lacks decent hosts.

The poll was for insights agency Perspectus Global, who said: “We were delighted to see such legendary presenters top the poll.”
