Marvel Fans Believe 'Eternals' Have More Chemistry Than 'Avengers'

Marvel fans are a very impassioned group of individuals, who never hesitate to let their opinions be known on social media platforms. From putting out their theories on rumored films and plotlines to discussing the latest casting developments, fans can always find someone on Twitter to share their thoughts with. Recently, the release of Eternals, one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s (MCU) biggest projects in recent years, brought fans out full force. However, this time, fans seem to be united in the belief that the Eternals have much more chemistry than the other superhero legion of the MCU: The Avengers.

The Avengers are a group of enhanced individuals

For close to a decade, the Avengers have been a fan-favorite superhero group. Based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name, the Avengers in the MCU team is a United States-based organization composed of enhanced individuals committed to the world’s protection from a wide variety of threats, from alien invasion to locally-grown terrorists.

Over the past few years, the Avengers have been featured in a number of blockbuster movies, from the 2012 crossover movie The Avengers to the phase-ending smash hit Avengers: Endgame. Individual members of the team, including Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk, and Thor, have all been featured in standalone movies. Still, fans seem to enjoy it best when the Avengers work as a unit, fighting evil and dispensing with a variety of well-timed wisecracks.

The Eternals are the subject of a buzzworthy new Marvel film

The Avengers might have been the MCU’s only superstar team of heroes for years, but now the Eternals are here to share the spotlight. Eternals was released to theaters in early November, and fans are thrilled about the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film tells the story of an immortal alien race called the Eternals, who emerge from hiding after thousands of years in order to protect Earth from the Deviants, a race of humanoids who act as the villainous counterparts to the Eternals.

A star-studded cast of performers portrays the Eternals, including Angelia Jolie as the elite warrior Thena, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Salma Hayek as Ajak, the leader of the Eternals, and Richard Madden as Ikaris. Full of humor and action, the film Eternals has fans buzzing about this latest phase of the MCU, one that seems open to welcoming exciting new characters all while celebrating existing ones.

What do fans have to say about the chemistry between the Eternals?

For many fans, the Eternals might soon outrank the Avengers in terms of sheer chemistry. As one fan wrote on Twitter, “The #Eternals had more chemistry with each other right after arriving on earth than the Avengers ever had. The Avengers never quite became a family. Like, Gilgamesh stayed with Thena for centuries, and no one could as much as give Wanda a call after Endgame.”

Another fan on Twitter called out the chemistry between the characters, noting “I’m so in love with #Eternals. The stunning visuals, the palpable emotion, the perfect cast & their chemistry, I was entranced. And those credits scenes. have. me. SHOOK. A brilliantly different, epic MCU movie. Bravo, Chloé Zhao & team.”

Other fans went on to note the particular dynamic of “flirtiness” between the Eternals, with one writing “every single romantic and flirty relationship in #eternals had chemistry, a feat in itself.” Clearly, the Eternals have ushered in a new era for the MCU, one that will give fans even more to love.
