NETFLIX is keeping the nation entertained over the next week with more new releases coming out all the time.

The streaming giant will be dropping different movies and TV shows on their site.

What's new on Netflix? Latest releases for November 7 to November 13, 2021

November 12

Red Notice

When an Interpol-issued Red Notice — the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted— goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case.

His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop” (Gal Gadot).

The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company.

Happiness Ever After

This movie is the sequel to the highly successful film Happiness is a Four-Letter Word – the glamorous Happiness friends are back close to four years after we left them.

We join them for another journey of self-discovery and re-evaluation as life throws new challenges at them.

Starring fan-favourites Khanyi Mbau, Renate Stuurman, Yonda Thomas and Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, the movie is a sophisticated, thoughtful rom-com that shows the lifestyles of Jozi’s successful black professionals as they grapple with relatable issues of relationship stress, parenting, and family tensions.

Animal – Season 1

Whether it’s their remarkable intelligence, incredible hunting prowess or surprisingly human qualities, some creatures capture our imagination and we’re only just beginning to understand their true nature.

With the latest filming technology, and contemporary style, Animal gets under the skin of eight charismatic families.

  • The best series on Netflix
  • The best movies on Netflix

Through stunning visuals, immersive soundscapes and the latest scientific revelations we enter their worlds to discover what sets them apart.

Following the story of a central character in each episode – including a mother lioness, a wild dog family, a kangaroo joey and a young giant pacific octopus – and meeting a range of other charismatic species, we enjoy an emotional, immersive and revelatory ride into some of the greatest wildernesses on Earth.

Passing

Adapted from the celebrated 1929 novel of the same name by Nella Larsen, Passing tells the story of two Black women, Irene Redfield (Tessa Thompson) and Clare Kendry (Academy Award nominee Ruth Negga), who can “pass” as white but choose to live on opposite sides of the color line during the height of the Harlem Renaissance in late 1920s New York.

After a chance encounter reunites the former childhood friends one summer afternoon, Irene reluctantly allows Clare into her home, where she ingratiates herself to Irene’s husband (André Holland) and family, and soon her larger social circle as well.

As their lives become more deeply intertwined, Irene finds her once-steady existence upended by Clare, and Passing becomes a riveting examination of obsession, repression and the lies people tell themselves and others to protect their carefully constructed realities.

Gentefied – Season 2

Created by two Chicano first-gen writers, Gentefied is a half-hour dramatic comedy adapted from the 2017 Sundance digital darling of the same name.

In this badass bilingual series about family, community, brown love, and the displacement that disrupts it all, three Mexican-American cousins struggle to chase the American Dream, even while that same dream threatens the things they hold most dear: their neighborhood, their immigrant grandfather, and the family taco shop.

Set in a rapidly changing Los Angeles, the Spanglish dramedy will navigate important themes like identity, class, and balancing insta-fame with translating memes for their parents.

But most importantly, Gentefied will settle once and for all how to pronounce Latinx.

November 9

Your Life Is A Joke – Season 1

German stand-up comedian Oliver Polak spends a day with each of his famous guests.

He then roasts them in this fresh twist on the celebrity profile.
