Watch the trailer for I’m a Celebrity South Africa
Former royal butler Paul Burrell is returning to I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! to partake in the new series alongside some other familiar faces.
I’m A Celebrity…South Africa will see him joined by the likes of boxer Amir Khan, dancer Jordan Banjo, actress Helen Flanagan and athlete Fatima Whitbread.
Paul first signed up for the show Down Under in 2004 and came out as the runner-up, narrowly losing out on the title of King of the Jungle to singer Kerry Katona.
He is now getting a second chance to be crowned as an I’m A Celebrity winner but before even entering the South African jungle, Paul has had trouble.
Prior to entering the camp, Paul trusted his £10,000 wedding ring with the ITV production team but sadly, it’s been reported they lost his precious jewellery.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Paul was told off-camera and was left heartbroken.
“Production had a team deployed to search the area high and low where the ring had been.
“The production runner who lost the ring was crying.
“He felt horrendous and went home as he couldn’t focus and felt he had let Paul down.
“Paul went into the camp and broke the news to his campmates. He was visibly upset.
“The campmates then rallied around him to try to make him feel better.”

Paul was married for 32 years to Maria Cosgrove who he met while working at Buckingham Palace where she was part of Prince Philip’s staff.
They had two sons together and divorced in 2016, a year before he was to tie the knot with his husband Graham Cooper.
The 64-year-old originally met the corporate lawyer in 2007 but Paul had kept his sexuality a secret for years.
It has been reported that Princess Diana who Paul tended to, knew he was gay years prior to his break-up.
Talking about his return to I’m A Celebrity, Paul said: “I loved doing it the first time around and to be asked again is very special.
“It’s like coming into the final of the jungle Olympics.
“But it is going to be different because I am a different person now.
“I was a married guy with two kids and now 19 years on, I am a married man again but this time around, I have a husband.
“I have many more things to talk about in South Africa. I want to be there for all the dads who are struggling with their sexuality.”
I’m a Celebrity… South Africa starts on Monday, April 24, at 9pm on ITV.
