Showing the strain? Alec Baldwin looks bleary-eyed as he arrives at NYC home with wife Hilaria – who wears a ‘Boundaries Are Hot!’ hoodie – after being charged with manslaughter over Rust shooting
- Alec Baldwin, 64, was charged with manslaughter last week for the accidental killing of cinematography Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust
- He was photographed Monday morning looking considerably worse for the wear as he returned to his Greenwich Village apartment
- Last week, Baldwin’s wife Hilaria, 39, pleaded with photographers – in a heightened Spanish accent – to leave her children alone
Alec Baldwin has been spotted returning to his New York City home with heavy bags under his eyes after being charged with manslaughter over a shooting on the set of Rust.
The 64-year-old looked up as he sheltered from the rain and exited a black SUV on Sunday afternoon.
The actor was greeted by his wife Hilaria, who donned a bright pink hoodie with the phrase ‘Boundaries Are Hot!’ emblazoned on the back.
It comes after he was charged last week with manslaughter for the shooting of Halyna Hutchins in October 2021 on the set of the movie Rust.
He and his legal team immediately vowed to fight the charges that they have characterized as a ‘miscarriage of justice.’

Baldwin was yesterday seen opening a black umbrella with its tag still on before making his way from the large black vehicle into his swanky downtown apartment.
He was accompanied by an iced-coffee sipping Hilaria, 39, who sported a pink hoodie emblazoned with the words ‘Boundaries Are Hot’ on the back.
The yoga instructor and mom of seven has seemingly been sending messages recently to onlookers each morning as the Rust saga continues to play out.
Several days ago, she was spotted wearing a beige hoodie with ‘HUMAN’ embroidered on the front. She then sported a sweatshirt with ‘EMPATHY’ spelled out visibly.
Last week, an increasingly frustrated Hilaria approached photographers, cutting off their questions and saying: ‘I’m going to tell you what I’m going to say, you’re not going to ask me questions.
‘I want you guys to realize we have seven kids, and you being here to escort them to school and to be there when they come home is not good.
‘So, on a human level, you know that I’m not going to say anything to you. You know that. So please, leave my family in peace and let it play out.’
During that exchange, Hilaria’s accent grew markedly more Spanish-sounding as her diatribe went on.
She continued, saying that it’s a ‘very hard thing as a mom to explain’ to her children why a crowd of people have been following them around and asking questions, before she reminded them that she nor her husband Alec will be answering questions.
‘So please, go home, because I’m not going to say anything and Alec is not going to say anything,’ she concluded before dodging questions about their lawyers.

Despite a general feeling of sympathy toward the predicament, she finds herself under criticism for the Boston native’s ’emotional support accent’ that sounds Spanish.
Several years ago, Hilaria was forced to defend her accent after low-level online sleuthing led to the discovery that she had attended a tony private school in Massachusetts.
‘My parents raised my brother and me with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a true sense of belonging to both,’ she said at the time.
‘The way I’ve spoken about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained – I should have been more clear and I’m sorry.
‘I’m proud of the way I was raised, and we’re raising our children to share the same love and respect for both,’ she continued.
‘Being vulnerable and pushing ourselves to learn and grow is what we’ve built our community on, and I hope to get back to the supportive and kind environment we’ve built together.’
Several former classmates came forward to confirm that Hilaria was in fact raised in Weston, Massachusetts, by American parents without a hint of a foreign accent.
Despite the social backlash Hilaria is facing, her husband might actually face jail time, and the Santa Fe prosecutor who unveiled the charges is confident Baldwin will be convicted.
In an interview after the announcement with CNN, she said Baldwin did pull the trigger – despite his claims to the contrary – and he ran a ‘fast and loose set’ that was plagued with safety issues.
‘There was such a lack of safety and safety standards on that set. There were live rounds on set, they were mixed in with dummy rounds.
‘Nobody was checking those or at least they weren’t checking them consistently.
‘They somehow got loaded into a gun, handed off to Alec Baldwin, he didn’t check it, he didn’t do what he was supposed to do to make sure he was safe or make sure anyone else was safe.
‘This is creepy!’: Alec Baldwin is slammed for caption with ‘sexually suggestive innuendo’ between wife Hilaria and son in FIRST post since involuntary manslaughter charge
Alec Baldwin has been criticised over a bizarre Instagram post – his first since it emerged he will be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.
Just days after prosecutors revealed plans to hold him responsible for the accidental killing of Halyna Hutchins in October 2021, the actor, 64, left followers perplexed over his latest Instagram caption.
Under a sweet photo of his son holding his mother’s shoulders as they sat on their living room floor, the Golden Globe winner sent trolls into a frenzy as he suggested his little boy was pulling ‘the old let me give you a back rub ploy’ on mom Hilaria Baldwin.
The public post came just hours after Boston-born Hilaria was ridiculed for slipping into an ‘offensive’ Spanish accent while asking photographers to leave her kids alone in wake of Alec’s charge.

Odd: Just days after prosecutors revealed plans to hold him responsible for the fatal on-set shooting of Rust’s cinematographer in October 2021, the actor, 64, left followers perplexed over his latest Instagram caption
‘Imagine being indicted for involuntary manslaughter and the first post you make after the announcement includes a picture of your attention-seeking wife, posed with your young son, and captioned with a sexually suggestive innuendo,’ one critic asked in the comment section.
Another wrote: ‘Does anyone else think this is creepy af with the caption? Pic is sweet. Caption makes it weird.’
A third commenter wrote: ‘Dude you need consult your team before you post man this does not help your case.’
One of Baldwin’s fans explained to the 30 Rock star that the ‘back rub ploy is a joke between grownups not mother/son.’
Others pleaded with the father-of-eight to stop being ‘problematic’ and to stop posting at all.

Last week, sources claimed Alec is ‘trying to stay strong’ for his kids after being charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of Halyna Hutchins.
Fighting to clear his name: As for his legal woes, Alec has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing over Hutchins’ passing and insisted that Assistant Director Dave Halls said he was being handed a ‘cold’ gun – meaning it was unloaded and safe (seen in 2019)
The cinematographer was killed when a prop gun went off during rehearsals on the set of the upcoming Western movie in October 2021 and now the 64-year-old actor – who is married to Hilaria Baldwin and has Carmen Gabriela, nine, Rafael Thomas, seven, Leonardo Ángel Charles, six, Romeo Alejandro David, four, Eduardo Pao Lucas, two, and daughters Ilaria Catalina Irena, three months with her – but is said to be ‘focused’ on his children and ‘leaning’ on his wife as they come to terms with the charges.
An insider told People: ‘They were prepared for all outcomes, but nothing can quite prepare you for this. They are really leaning on each other and trying to keep their focus on the kids. Hilaria has been Alec’s rock throughout all of this, and to see him so distraught is heartbreaking for her. She is doing whatever she can to support him and they’re doing their best to stay strong for the kids.’
The film’s head armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, faces the same charge, and both face a maximum of five years in prison if found guilty.
Santa Fe’s District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said the charges will be filed by the end of the month.
She added in a statement: ‘Actor and producer Alec Baldwin and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will each be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.
‘After a thorough review of the evidence… I have determined that there is sufficient evidence.
‘On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice.’
Assistant Director Dave Halls has agreed a plea deal on the charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon. He will receive six months probation and a suspended prison sentence.
Alec has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and said Dave said it was a ‘cold’ gun – meaning it was unloaded and safe – when he handed him the weapon.
Hannah was not present when the incident occurred, but the actor previously suggested she bare some responsibility as it was her job to prepare and check the props.
The ’30 Rock’ star previously insisted he did not pull the trigger when Halyna was shot, but the FBI tested the weapon and later issued a report which concluded it would not have fired if someone hadn’t pulled the trigger.
Halyna’s death was previously ruled an accident but her family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Alec and others involved in the production.
The lawsuit was settled last October, and it was agreed filming would resume on ‘Rust’, with the cinematographer’s widower, Matthew Hutchins, on board as an executive producer.
Matthew previously said he has ‘no interest’ in apportioning blame for his wife’s tragic death and wants to pay tribute to Halyna’s ‘final work’.
In a statement, he said: ‘We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of ‘Rust’, including Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC. As part of that settlement, our case will be dismissed.
‘The filming of Rust, which I will now executive produce, will resume with all the original principal players on board in January 2023.
‘I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin).
‘All of us believe Halyna’s death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that the producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s final work.’
Alec also sued four crew members – Hannah, Dave, Sarah Zachry and Seth Kenney – claiming they failed to safeguard the film set.
