Viral footage has captured the adorable moment a pack of dogs patiently waited for the green light before crossing a busy road on Sunday morning in Dalian city, north-eastern China

The scene was spotted on Sunday morning by a local resident in the city of Dalian, north-eastern China’s Liaoning province.

The pack of dogs, believed to be stray, is seen standing by next to a zebra crossing, seemingly waiting for the green light to cross the road.

The furry citizens appeared to be undisturbed by the heavy traffic as they calmly waited on the edge of the road.

Two pedestrians can be seen standing nearby and watching the animals, seemingly amazed at how well-behaved they were.

As the traffic light turned red, cars started slowing down and stopped behind the line as the dogs began walking together towards the other side of the street.

The footage quickly became trending online after it was shared on Douyin, the Chinese equivalent of TikTok, with hundreds of thousands of web users praising the animals as ‘civilised citizens’.

One commenter wrote: ‘What a pack of adorable dogs! They were very civilised while crossing the road.’

Another said: ‘They are so cute and well-behaved! Hope they are all safe and sound.’

But others were angered by the footage, criticising the local government for a lack of measures against stray dogs.

One observer condemned: ‘A pack of stray dogs? This is so dangerous, people could easily get attacked by them!’

Another agreed: ‘They are clearly a threat to the residents. The government lacked control of stray dogs while we are here praising them, I’m speechless.’

The news comes as footage of a family dog called Harry rushing to protect his young owner from being told off by her mother in China has melted the hearts of millions.

The parent got extremely upset after discovering that her new facial cream had been ripped open and used by her two-year-old child.

While the woman was scolding her daughter, their five-year-old golden retriever ran to shield the crying child with his paws.

The pet, named after J.K. Rowling’s fictional character Harry Potter, also snarled at the parent, seemingly telling her to back off.
