Lioness who won Euros Chloe Kelly 'set for £2million sponsorship deal'

Bra-vo Chloe Kelly! Lioness who won the Euros is ‘set for £2million luxury sponsorship deal with Land Rover’

  • The lioness scored the winning goal in extra time of the Euro 2022 women’s final
  • She has been fiercely in demand since, even getting a call from Strictly bosses
  • Her iconic celebration of ripping her shirt off after scoring has shot her to fame

Her dazzling footwork propelled the Lionesses to glory against Germany in the Euro 2022 final.

And now star striker Chloe Kelly is about to reap the rewards with a luxury sponsorship deal worth up to £2million, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The 24-year-old shot to prominence with her iconic winning goal celebration in which she whipped off her shirt and ran across the Wembley stadium turf in her sports bra.

Ms Kelly is said to be ‘in demand’ from potential sponsors, and it is understood a lucrative deal with Land Rover, thought to be worth up to £2million, is already on the table.

Since scoring the winning goal in the Euro 2022 final, Chloe Kelly has been in demand from all sides

She also had a call from the BBC to appear on the forthcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing. But the Women’s Super League, which kicks off at the same time, ruled her out.

England’s Lionesses are set to earn millions of pounds in sponsorship deals following their success in the Euros. Captain Leah Williamson has agreed a deal with Italian fashion brand Gucci, alongside existing agreements with Pepsi and Nike.

And defender Lucy Bronze has endorsements with Pepsi, EE and Visa. Ms Kelly’s exuberant goal celebration mirrored an earlier defining moment for the women’s game.

After scoring the deciding penalty at the 1999 Women’s World Cup, US defender Brandi Chastain memorably removed her shirt to celebrate.

She later netted a Nike deal worth an estimated $2million (£1.64million).

A source said: ‘Chloe had an offer to go on Strictly Come Dancing. But it’s not up to her, she had to speak to [her club] Manchester City.

Land Rover have offered her £2million. Her family have all been talking about it.’

A spokeswoman for Ms Kelly said her ‘sole focus’ was on football and she would not be appearing on Strictly, although she would not rule it out in future.

She added: ‘I can’t comment on her business dealings but… she is in demand.’ Jaguar Land Rover did not respond to a request to comment yesterday.
